Can't Make it to MX?
To celebrate Cinco de Mayo locally, Radar recommends :
In St. Paul, La Cucharacha is sure to be busy. Senor Wong is a Mexican/Asian fusion restaurant in downtown. Most authentic Mexican restaurants in St. Paul are in the District del Sol in the Westside, many on Cesar Chavez Street.
In Mpls, Acadia Cafe is offering a pitcher of Michaledas and a plate of nachos for $10. I'm sure Little Tijuana's will be buzzing, 17 E 26th St. Famous Dave's is hosting the sounds of Sensacion Latina.
So get your Mexican on and celebrate!

So during my week in Palm Springs, I spent one day in Palm Desert, the "other" Rodeo Drive. I stopped cold in my tracks when I spotted these adorable wedges in the window, I had to have them. But, omg they were Crocs. I have never been one to buy into such a retail craze. But, I love them, the color, the fit, the price.
So I'm here showing them off and to say, I'm on the hunt to find them locally, once I do, I'll pass on the spring fling find to you.

To check out more of my goings-on out west, I blogged about my adventures: jenontheradarps.blogspot.com and you can find a photo reel on my (not-so-final) new site, radar-msp.com
Thanks for following my travels, if you're ever off to PS, let Radar know!

Earth Week Goodies and Do Goods!
My personal favorite local spot for skin care is Storm Sisters Spatique. And Becky is doing her part for Earth Week - bring in clean glass or #1 and #2 plastic lotion, potion and serum bottles and she'll give you 25% off each replacement lotion, potion and serum and we'll recycle the bottles you bring in!
This offer is good for Earth Day week, April 19-25.
Bottles may be from any beauty brand, not only from brands Storm Sisters carries, that's fair!
25% discount applies to ALL product and may be applied to sale merchandise that is currently 20-50% off. That means ALL store merchandise is 25-75% off during that week!

On Wednesday, April 22nd (Earth Day) visit Twin Cities Green to save anywhere from 20 to 60% off everything in the store!

During the month of April, "How Many Bottle Caps fit in a Bottle?" Miyagi Salon wants you to come in and take a guess for $1--you could win a $100 gift certificate and a basket of products! Each dollar goes directly to the Clean Water Fund, Aveda Midwest's Earth Month partner. The winner will be announced on April 30--and the caps will go directly to Aveda for recycling! Put your guessing caps on and come in!!

Also, Wednesday, April 22, Miyagi stylists will join with Aveda (and anyone else who wants to join in) for a 4-mile Walk For Water beginning at 9 am on April 22, Earth Day.

Whatever you can do for Earth Week, do.

ACC, looking forward to next year!
I was impressed by the American Craft Council's show going on this weekend at River Centre in St Paul. Here are a few of the favorites I spotted:
Beautiful jewelery with my personal hero, Frida:

The most intricate wood carvings. I bought two of these Xmas ornaments which I will make into necklaces.

Broaches by Donna D'Aquino, when you're not wearing them, they serve as great wall art. Love that!

Green bracelets made from recycled blots, screws, etc.

Love the fire-like feel of these vases:

Wall art with felt and wood, so modern and airy. By Amy Gillespie:
